Jabari Parker re-entered Jim Boylen’s rotation and showed he’s still got game. You can’t teach natural talent, and Jabari’s got plenty. The Chicago product had a mega-dunk off an offensive rebound, slammed another on Josh Hart, and found Wayne Selden on a smooth fast break pass for a reverse layup. Feels like a rarely see a Bulls fast break that ends with a proper pass and finish, so that was refreshing. Overall, the game was a dud. The Bulls and Lakers both struggled mightily in the 1st half. Wendell Carter had a solid game. Jr. grabbed a man’s offensive rebound and whipped it back to Chandler Hutchison – who had a decidedly nice game himself. Hutch hammered it through for the play of the night. The bench guys, led by hustlin’ Ryan Arcidiacono and Jabari, made a furious run in the final 2 and a half minutes. But they couldn’t make up enough ground and fell by 6. They did score 100 points to prevent a free taco giveaway for the fans. Small victories, I guess.
Scottie Pippen was in the house at Staples Center to cheer on the Bulls.
On to Denver for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets. Jabari’s back. Let’s get one.
