The Bulls played hard Monday night at the United Center, but effort didn’t equal victory against the Mavericks. 3s weren’t falling, as they shot 24 percent from long distance. Turnovers hurt ’em, too. Seemed to be a lot of mishandled passes and balls poked free by the opposition. Gotta be strong with the ball, as Stacey King would say. Wendell Carter didn’t have his best overall game, but did grab 10 rebounds. The other rookie, Chandler Hutchison, might’ve fared the best out of all the Bulls. He had 9 points, 9 boards in just 18 minutes and played some impressive on ball D. He missed a dunk and a few driving layups, but if he works on his finishing the way Kris Dunn did this past summer, Hutch will grow into a weapon.
