“You want me to make it?” Zach LaVine winked at the Bulls bench with 0.2 seconds left after his first free throw gave him 41 points and propelled the to Bulls a 116-115 lead in 2OT. Last time he tried to miss it, it went in anyway. This time, he successfully bricked it and the Knicks were out of time. Bulls win! Bulls win! It looked iffy after Wendell Carter Jr. fouled out at the end of regulation and sloppiness prevailed over the next 10 + minutes. Robin Lopez grabbed some boards and delivered a mondo block on help defense. It’s just everything is better with Wendell. On both ends of the court, the superteen ups the level of play all around him. The drop off is noticeable when he subs out. Zorro LaVine swashbuckled his way to multiple driving scores and free throw opportunities in overtime after a barrage of 3s almost put the game away in the 4th. The Knicks aren’t good, but they’ve got some players. Either way, this win is a warm fuzzy and a good All-Star resume builder for the Zach Attack. Wednesday night in the Big Easy against the Brow and Niko. Go Bulls.
