Lupe Fiasco dressed as the Sears Tower for the 1st Chicago Halloween Parade down Columbus Drive and he did a good job, I guess.  I mean, how do you really judge a Grand Marshal?  The bigger deal, for me, is I got to meet him.  After he completed his journey down the center, Lupe was casually strolling down the sidelines – no entourage, no security – still dressed in his foam skyscraper outfit.  I stopped him for a handshake, then a selfie and to geek out as a fan.  I only remember that I kept repeating “Testso & Youth was straight fire.  I mean, it was really like, straight fire.”  Lupe was super gracious about my blathering, maybe the coolest dude I’ve ever encountered.

The parade was pretty solid, too.  People dressed up and paid attention.  The most popular costume was Daenerys from GOT.  I spotted several.

It all wrapped up with a spectacular Thriller dance down Columbus, led by an excellent Michael Jackson impersonator.  Check out video proof below!
